Finding entertainment from the disc world on YouTube

It’s been a while since we’ve run a post full of YouTube videos.

Originally, the YouTube feature was supposed to be a regular thing on Rattling Chains. Though it hasn’t worked out that way, it’s nice to do some surfing on occasion to see what’s out there.

The turn of the year is usually a good time to check things out as many people seem to upload trick shots or compilations of aces and things like that as a year-end sort of thing.

These videos are always pretty entertaining.

While it’s true that most of these people probably take multiple shots to get the result, it’s still pretty impressive they get the shot done at all.

Either way, they are still entertaining.

So sit back, enjoy your day and hopefully you have the time to check out some of these videos as they are quite fun to watch!

Top 21 trick shots of 2012

Note that some of these shots are not disc related, but still interesting. A couple of these shots do look a little edited though. Still, pretty sweet nonetheless.

A short one here. Listen closely as the comment from the person doing the video after the first shot was rather humorous!

I find quite often the best disc golf videos are the ones that have not only distance to the basket but also have the disk that the person used as part of the caption at the bottom. Those are usually the ones I like to watch the most. I don’t necessarily like a lot of commentary but it’s better when they know what they’re throwing because then I know what it was supposed to be doing.

I don’t mind watching trick videos but they don’t help my game so I only watch them very rarely. I know they take multiple shots to get the shot and for me that takes away from how amazing they are. I like to watch the aces & accidental amazing shots in competition more than trick shots because they aren’t contrived. You can’t fake a wind at the glass blown open throwing a disc 30 feet behind the original lie, or seeing Dave Feldberg hit the top band only to skip into the opposite side of the basket.

Still, can’t get enough diskin’ YouTube videos.
